Dorene & Noah’s tale begins where many of our stories do…..College!
There were formally introduced by a mutual friend during their freshman year. The end of their first semester was winding down when Dorene was informed by their mutual friend that a room had become available across the hall from her dorm, which also happened to be across from Noah’s.
Dorene and Noah became fast friends and quickly developed a deep connection. The closeness established rapidly turned into something more…
Dorene admits, “We cannot honestly pinpoint when we realized it was love….It just kind of happened!” But she does recall missing her newfound love in between spring and fall semester. As she longed for him, it became clear that there was something special happening.
One evening after indulging in a wonderful Upper East Side feast, they took a cab to the waterfront area at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Dorene, feeling stuffed and reluctant to the idea of a walk, found her self having to be convinced not to return home to relax. After much coaxing by Noah they took a stroll around the park. Noah escorted her to a little area tucked away from the crowd, got down on one, professed his love, and asked her to be his wife. Totally surprised, she happily accepted.
Dorene & Noah were married on May 20th, 2012 at the Glen Island Harbor Club. She rocked an Anjolique gown. It was an exquisite affair… Thank you for allowing us to partake in your special day!
