Ali & Matt

This is a true story of love at first sight…. Well in a very current and contemporary way… Facebook being the culprit!

Matt, (and most of the general population) while at work one day, found himself intrigued to find Ali on Facebook as a “someone he may know”. Her picture captivated him and impelled him to immediately call up a mutual FB friend to see who Ali was and more importantly, what her status was! After encouragement from their mutual friend Matt decided to contact Ali.

Ali was in disbelief when she received her first message from Matt. She was shocked to find her childhood crush was contacting her out of the blue! After several witty conversations they decided to have their first official date, which would take place at the Wetbar in the W Hotel.

It was obvious from the very first date that they had found “the one”. They developed a special bond neither had encountered before leading them to realize there was something unique and extraordinary taking place.

Two and half years strong it was official and Matt felt it was time to take the next step. Matt led Ali to believe they were to meet friends one evening leaving her a note that a car would be picking her up shortly. It was there, alone at the Gansevoort Hotel in NYC, that he asked her to be his. After the inevitable “yes” escaped her lips family & friends joined them for a celebratory dinner on the rooftop at Asselina.

Ali & Matt were married on June 9th 2012 at Capitale. Ali graciously floated down the aisle in a Vera Wang gown as they basked in the first moments as man & wife! “We couldn’t feel happier or luckier to share our special day amongst such amazing family & friends!”
